Abilities:
A list of Steve's abilities can be found here for convenience.
Due to the super soldier serum, his entire physiology has been enhanced. He is at the peak human condition without being considered human. That means his strength, speed, intelligence, agility, and durability are all at the highest level that of a normal human can reach. His reflexes are also heightened so much that he can dodge gunfire at close range or being shot at multiple gunners. Steve is also able to heal faster then most humans and is immune to most if not all types of illnesses, disorders, and diseases.
Because of the serum, his cognitive abilities are extremely heightened. He has a near-eidetic memory, which means he rarely forgets anything and has perfect recall. He's a tactical genius and able to remember every military tactic and can apply it to any situation given. He can process through multiple information streams and respond to any tactical situation that may change.
The serum also slows his aging down, which means that Steve may keep his youth for the rest of his life and his senses are incredibly heightened.
Along with the serum, Steve is trained in all kinds of martial arts and self defense. He outshines mostly anyone in fighting with his shield. This also makes him a trained marksman in more then just shield throwing. He's a trained tactician and military operator. He's trained in acrobatics and proficient with most weapons. He is trained to be able to drive most motor vehicles ranging from cars to even sea and air vehicles.
Steve's will is nearly unbreakable which makes it near impossible for him to be mind controlled.
He's gifted in multiple languages and is a professional/skilled artist.
Weapons:
Steve's suit is made of kevlar, nomex and light weight titanium. It is also water and fire retardant and can not usually be pierced by normal sharp objects.
Steve also has a utility belt. What is inside it depends from mission to mission.
It does have a first aid kit that holds the following plus whatever is usually found in a first aid kit:
-Tweezers
-Antiseptic gel coated band aids
-Bone and muscle pain reliever spray cans
-Antidotes
Steve's main weapon is his shield though. The shield is a concave disk about 2.5 feet in diameter, weighing 12 pounds. It's made of Vibranium-Steel alloy. It is one of a kind as the material has not yet been replicated.
Character Personality:
Steve is a simple guy from Brooklyn.
Well, he thinks of himself as one.
Steve is a man with a big heart. He'll go out of his way to help others and never seems to be the type to say no if it means assisting others in any way. It's a surprising trait that many probably don't understand. Even growing up fighting in the war, it seems that his compassion and care towards others had not wavered nor has the war steeled his heart. Even towards enemies, he knows compassion. He's caring and loving towards closed ones and even those he isn't closed to. He seems to legitimately care for everyone that is around him, and he does. His safety comes last, and he would rather run into gunfire to protect someone he doesn't know at all then let them get hurt. Steve cares for the safety and well-being of others so much that he refuses to live in a close vicinity of people to protect them.
He has seems to have unwavering optimism. Steve legitimately seems to be always sure that the good guys will win. He doesn't seem to think that there would ever be a time where they would lose or that there aren't any. To him, there is never a moment where things are hopeless. It isn't that the bad guys will win, it's just a matter of time when the good guys will show up to help out in anyway possible.
However, that doesn't mean he isn't ignorant. For all his optimism, Steve is also very realistic in his thinking. Going through the Depression and war, Steve has seen his fair share of travesties and destruction. If anything, he's seen and gone through more an average guy should witness. But it's probably seeing all that and knowing what would happen if the good guys were to lose is why he tries so hard to prevent it. His loyalty towards what he thinks is right and to protect people so they can have peaceful lives pushes him forward to continue fighting. He's extremely loyal to his nation and people. He has never said no to helping people out or taking on a mission, despite whether he's being worked too hard or if he's tired. He literally puts himself last and everyone and everything else before him.
Steve rarely even complains about the burden he continues to carry throughout his life. What was meant to be administered to an entire army ended up on only his shoulders, yet he never complained about it. He accepted it with no complaints. Even when Steve complains, it's usually something trivial and silly because he knows better then to complain about something he can not change. Even when he knows full well that what happened to him wasn't something he wanted, he still continues on. He only wanted to serve his country, he didn't ask to be Captain America. Very few, if any, even realize that about him.
What is surprising is the slight naivety that Steve has about him. For a man who seems to be serious a lot, he seems to not realize a lot of things. He easily trusts others as he is the type who will treat others with kindness. He seems to be interested in learning new things. He easily gets teased for his simpleness, although he seems to not seem to mind. Steve is humble and knows when to humor others. His mindset, is still very old-fashioned, which leads to his polite manner towards others. He's also a very literal guy, so at times, he misinterprets things wrong, as he takes the literal sense of the words or saying, not realizing that they mean something different. There's an air of innocence that surrounds him, although that doesn't mean he is less knowledgeable in things, but it makes him more genuine if anything.
Steve is a rather serious guy. He acts much older then he really is, although maybe not since he's been frozen for so long. But, he usually seems to care more about working or doing his job right then enjoying himself. It seems that Steve just forgets that he can relax, but he's too busy being swamped with responsibilities. Even when he does seem to relax or do something enjoyable, it seems to be in the company of other people or it's less about himself and more about someone else. Such an example is celebrating Bucky's birthday, where he was willing to push off his duties for the sake of having the other enjoy himself.
He is also very honest. Perhaps he isn't very good at lying, or just very obvious. But, Steve usually says what's on his mind. He also follows wholeheartedly in his decisions and what he believes is right. Even if it meant fighting against allies or people he once considered friends. This just goes back to Steve's ability to do anything to protect other people even at the expense of himself. This also may lead to his stubborn nature, where he becomes adamant to do what he says he will do and stubbornly refuse to back down. But maybe that's more of his unwavering will then stubbornness. If Steve sees something that isn't working out or causing more harm then help, he will willfully back down. The safety of the people are more important to him.
He's very selfless, which often can become a hazard for himself as it puts him in obvious danger. After all, he would rather take a bullet for someone else then letting them get injured.
Steve is the type of guy who rushes forward into things. He's used to being on the frontlines. He, for the most part, isn't usually the type who thinks of intellectual or sneaky plans, but the type of guy who moves forward without hesitation. However, he knows when to step back or to assess the situation before running in. Because of his forward attitude, it becomes frustrating for him not able to do what he wants. When he sees people in trouble but can't do it at a risk of political distress or because it would cause more trouble then help, it strains on him, because he doesn't want to just stand there and let people being treated badly when they don't deserve it.
He also very much likes things to be simple. He grew up in an era where politics have not grown extremely complicated, or at least, his actions weren't tied completely with it. He doesn't like things to be complicated as it becomes tiresome to deal with. The things he enjoys tend to be very simple, such as his enjoyment with drawing. But he just likes to keep it plain, simple, and forward. The complications in the modern world are quite a bother to him.
Steve is very much a man in the past. He owns keepsakes such as photos and journals that are close to his heart. He often reminisces about things of the past and recalls old stories and personal experiences. He enjoys watching old newsreels and doesn't seem to be too interested in modern technology. He finds them fascinating, but he very much prefers when things were simpler and easier to figure out. However, he knows not to live in the past and look to the future. He knows it's familiar and comfortable to him, but as a soldier, he's there to make tomorrow's world better.
A problem Steve has is accepting the fact that he can't do everything. He feels guilty when he can't save people or do things that he wants to do. He tries to shoulder the world, even though he's very much human.
Overall, Steve is merely a simple man from Brooklyn who only wants to help other people.
